Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Bookery, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Bookery Is

Bookery is a free web application that helps book clubs organise, share, and track physical books between members. Bookery does not sell, ship, or supply books — it is a tool for managing lending within your community.

Your Account

• You must provide a valid email address and your real name to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Bookery.

Acceptable Use

When using Bookery, you agree not to:

• Upload offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content.
• Harass, spam, or send unwanted messages to other members.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Use Bookery for any commercial or promotional purposes unrelated to book sharing.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you add to Bookery (book listings, reviews, messages, images). By posting content, you grant Bookery a licence to display it within the app to relevant club members.

We may remove content that violates these terms or is reported by other users.

Book Lending

Bookery facilitates the tracking of book loans between club members. Bookery is not responsible for:

• The condition of books lent or borrowed.
• Books that are lost, damaged, or not returned.
• Any disputes between members regarding physical books.

All lending arrangements are between the members involved.

Availability

We aim to keep Bookery available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend the service for maintenance or improvements without prior notice.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Limitation of Liability

Bookery is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Bookery after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
